After previewing new tracks over the past few weeks and announcing two new albums, Logic surprise-dropped a new mixtape titled Bobby Tarantino.
Released first on Apple Music, and then on Spotify, YouTube, and Soundcloud through TeamVisionary (the music group that manages Logic and Jon Bellion), the eleven-track mixtape includes previously heard singles “Flexicution” and “Wrist“, which features Pusha T as the only other artist on the tape. Production is handled by Logic’s in-house producer 6ix, who worked extensively on all of the rapper’s projects since 2011’s Young Sinatra.
The tape finds Logic mostly at his usual speed-rapping self, showing off his lyrical capabilities over the theatrical beats that helped make last year’s The Incredible True Story such a triumph. According to Apple Music, the “moody yet muscular” mixtape details Logic’s experiences since the success of his last album. On Instagram, Logic himself described the tape as “something to have fun with over the summer”.
