As the summer heats up and the music scene continues to pump out great music at a staggering rate, it’s easy to lose track of all the music that drops each week. Here’s some of the best projects that dropped this Friday (and some from Thursday).

ScHoolboy Q – Blank Face LP

While this technically dropped Thursday night, ScHoolboy Q’s incredible new album (which was originally slated for a Friday release) is his best work to date. Featuring incredible features and perfect production, Blank Face takes Q’s sound to new heights.

Migos – 3 Way EP

The Atlanta trio’s first release since YRN 2 was released earlier this year, the five-track 3 Way EP finds Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff riffing perfectly off of each other. The group’s sound hasn’t changed much since their inception, but they’ve found a successful formula and they’re sticking to it.

 BADBADNOTGOOD – IV

The fourth release from Toronto jazz group BADBADNOTGOOD finds the band collaborating with several artists, including Chicago rapper Mick Jenkins, producer Kaytranada, and Future Islands vocalist Sam Herring. Cop the album at their Bandcamp page.

Avalanches – Wildflower

The followup to 2000’s Since I Left You seemed like it was reaching going to go the way of Dr. Dre’s Detox, but through a series of social media hints the Australian electronic collective announced their second album, Wildflower, a sprawling masterpiece featuring contributions from Danny Brown, MF DOOM, Father John Misty, and many more.

Bricc Baby – Nasty Dealer 2

Underground LA rapper Bricc Baby, who started out his career as a driver on Casey Veggie’s first tour, has released his third mixtape Nasty Dealer 2, featuring contributions from Gucci Mane, Young Thug, Fetty Wap, Chris Brown, Ty Dolla $ign, and Lil Durk. Find the album for free on Datpiff.

Bernz – See You On The Other Side

Rap duo ¡Mayday!, consisting of artists Wrekonize and Bernz, has always been one of the best parts of Tech N9ne’s Strange Music label. While Wrekonize has found success in his two solo albums, See You On The Other Side is the first from Bernz. The album features contributions from a number of Strange Music artists, including Krizz Kaliko, Murs, and Tech N9ne himself, and early single “Out Of My Brain” has already found critical acclaim.

Towkio – Community Service 2!

SaveMoney artist Towkio released the sequel to an EP he put out back in 2012, back when he was still rapping under the name Tokyo Shawn. After the success of last year’s .wav Theory, Towkio continues his penchant for mixing heavy lyrics with danceable beats. Fellow SaveMoney artists Vic Mensa and Joey Purp are featured on the EP, which can be found on Towkio’s Soundcloud.
