Cakes Da Killa – Hedonism

HEDONISM_DIGITAL_FRONT_COVER_DIGITAL_h4cafk.jpgCakes Da Killa is a big figure in the LGBTQ rap scene (along with artists like Mykki Blanco and Le1f), and after a well-received mixtape run that’s paired him up with both Adult Swim and Mishka NYC, he’s returned with his first studio album, Hedonism. The ten-track album, available through his website, pairs the Englewood MC with artists like Peaches, Calore, LSDXOXO, and Noah Breakfast.

His debut album, The Letter O, has been getting promotions from rappers and ballers alike, and pairs the Californian with Lil Wayne, Jamie Foxx, Raphael Saadiq, Juvenile, Marsha Ambrosious, and many more.

D.R.A.M. – Big Baby D.R.A.M.

Big Baby D.R.A.M. album cover by BoootlegD.R.A.M. had a strange start in the world of hip hop: the beat to his debut single, “Cha Cha”, got jacked by Drake and turned into “Hotline Bling”. The perpetually smiling Virginia native didn’t let this stop him, however, and rather than miring himself in legal battles with Drake, he forged ahead with the recognition accidentally given to him by the Toronto superstar. D.R.A.M. turned this notoriety into a blossoming career, and now has a double platinum single in “Broccoli”, appearances on songs with Chance the Rapper and Michael Christmas, and now a debut album with the most adorable cover art in rap history. Big Baby D.R.A.M. finds the singer/rapper working with Young Thug, Erykah Badu, Cardo, and Charlie Heat to create the fall’s sunniest album.

Far East Movement – Identity

The rap/EDM group that grew to quick fame with their single “Like A G6” released Identity today, which may have the years most unexpected mix of features: rappers Big K.R.I.T. and Soulja Boy, singers Tinahse and Candice Pillay, and a ton of K-Pop artists including Chanyeol and Jay Park all collaborated for the project.

Jay Prince – Smile Good

If you happen across the Atlantic, you can catch him as one of the opening acts for Chance The Rapper’s upcoming European tour.

Joe Budden – Rage & The Machine
