The internet may have found evidence that a new Childish Gambino album is dropping on December 2nd.

Early this morning, a new album under Donald Glover’s rap alias Childish Gambino titled Awaken, My Love! was discovered as an upcoming album on AllMusic.

Further internet sleuthing discovered a sign at an FYE, an American media store, which listed Awaken, My Love! as an upcoming album coming December 2nd. A preorder page became available on Amazon, confirming the date and stating that the project would be released through Glassnote Records, the company Gambino was worked with since his 2011 debut album Camp; the page has since been deleted, unfortunately.  Nothing else is known yet about the album.

Gambino hasn’t released new music since 2014’s mixtape/EP combination STN MTN/Kauai, but a new song titled “Me and your Momma” was performed at Bonnaroo in 2015, and then previewed briefly in a trailer for Glover’s television series Atlanta.

Atlanta was one of the most wildly successful shows of 2016, a surreal, personal look at a group of young black men trying to make it in Atlanta’s rap scene. Glover has also been confirmed to fill the role of a young Lando Carlissian in the upcoming Han Solo-focused Star Wars prequel, as well as an unknown role in the upcoming Marvel film Spiderman: Homecoming.

In September, Gambino previewed his new album at Pharos, a two-day live event he hosted at Joshua Tree. Attendees reported that the music performed at Pharos was a change in Gambino’s sound, lending more to the R&B/soul sound of Kauai with noticeable influences from rock, gospel, and Afrofunk. Rapping was noticeably absent from the album, as were features, but there’s no telling what differences there will be between the performance and the studio release.

Childish Gambino recently made a rare appearance on twitter to promote the new video and EP by bLAck pARty, the rap/R&B project by Arkansas preformer Malik Flint. Like Gambino, Flint has diverged from rap for a far more R&B-influenced sound, with production from frequent Gambino collaborator Ludwig Görranson. Check out the project below:
